Holidays are about family and friends. Weddings are about family and friends. So why not combine the two? Many couples decide to schedule their wedding day around holidays because so many of their family members are already together. Many venues are decorated for the holidays making it easy on you and your budget to provide the wedding day decor that is right for you. In the Fall, you’ll find lots of leaves, straw, squash and sensational color. In December you might find Christmas trees, holiday lights, holly and mistletoe. All of this decor can be good and bad. If you are decorating with traditional elements then you’ll be glad. If you wish to stay away from the holiday decor, well then we highly recommend you check with your wedding venue first and ask them to include a clause in your contract allowing you to remove any decor that might not be appropriate for your wedding. Most venues will agree to this clause provided your vendors return all decor to it’s original place without damage. Keep in mind, most hotels, resorts, and other venues go to great lengths to make their space festive so chances are you’ll love it! Be creative and incorporate a splash to your escort card table. Use wreaths on the doors at your church or reception venue. In the pictures below, we used chocolate linens because the bride wanted to incorporate red and chocolate. We created an escort card tree with a simple wire gadget. We used lots of holy leaves and berries and of course combined them with candlelight and red roses. The Snow Park Lodge in Deer Valley was decorated with a holiday tree and wreath making it a simple winter wonderland. Of course the weather couldn’t have been better…it snowed all day! Perfect for a winter wedding. As the guests waiting for the bride to make it down the aisle, they sipped on hot apple cider. Another idea, one of my favorites, you might want to add an extra touch of holiday chic with these sparkling red glitter pumps by Christian Louboutin. What a great excuse to wear these wonderful shoes! Dress up your holiday wedding from head to toe and have fun! After all, tis’ the season.
