When figuring your budget we recommend every bride factor in “lighting”. Although considered one of those things you can live without, lighting adds to your atmosphere and creates the space for your event. Perimeter lighting fills in space when you have a larger room and pin-spots will highlight your floral and other decor. Stage lighting or “wash” is crucial for every band. When you hire your band be sure to ask them if they have some lighting. Many times a band is able to bring some “mood” lighting at no additional charge. To really spice up your dancefloor and stage, be sure to hire an expert who can provide stage wash and you might consider a backdrop depending on where you are placing your stage in the room. We realize all of these suggestions add to the budget but we believe it is money well spent and think you will too!
