A religious wedding ceremony can be made up of so many spiritual and personal traditions. Soirée Productions had the honor of assisting this beautiful couple with their wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Park City. The day was full of friends and family. White flowers filled the church. When the bride walked in with her beautiful smile she was beaming. Her grandmother’s rosary was with her and wrapped around her bouquet. The bride’s shoes were signed by each bridesmaid. White Couture found the perfect bridesmaids dresses from the Vera Wang collection in a stone color that coordinated with the theme of this wonderful day. Bring tradition into your wedding and make it special. Thanks to Pepper Nix Photography for providing us with the images to share with you. Enjoy!

Sunday, March 7th, 2010Hindu Cultural Wedding Celebration| Soirée Productions | Park City
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010Including family and cultural traditions in your wedding celebration is not only meaningful but it certainly makes every aspect of your wedding personal! There are so many traditions a bride and groom can incorporate. We always browse the internet to make sure we understand the customs and traditions too! Many times couples raised in the United States are not familiar with their own traditions so it is important that we research and understand the meaning behind everything. The internet is an amazing world of it’s own isn’t it?
Recently our team of Soirèe Productions Wedding Planners coordinated and designed a Hindu Wedding in the mountains. Our couple is from New York but share a love for skiing and Park City so what better to place to tie the knot then the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley on Valentine’s Day. Our designers worked together with Val Rasmussen at StellaPosy to incorporate so many aspects from the bride’s culture. In a two-hour long ceremony the bride and groom were married under a Mandap (similar to a Chuppah or Altar). The ceremony was so beautiful and meaningful the time slipped by. The guests danced all night to traditional Indian music provided by one of our favorite DJ’s Craig Chambers of Disc-Connection who also included modern American tunes at the brides’ request. The decor was sensational! Soirèe Productions’ unique linen inventory and beautiful chargers completed the table decor. A big thank you to Diamond Rental of Salt Lake City who polished up and painted gold Chavari chairs to make them brand new for our client. We borrowed pieces of an outdoor iron gazebo available at Diamond Rental and added our own fabric, 2×4’s and Val’s expertise and created what our Hindu Priest referred to as “the most beautiful Mandap he has ever seen.” Finding an existing Mandap in Utah is no easy task so we built our own! The lighting around the room provided a glow in the wedding colors and the custom GOBO with the bride and groom’s monogram was a touch that should never be overlooked. I can’t stress enough how important lighting is to your event! It was indeed our pleasure to put our creativity to work and bring the bride’s family traditions to Park City! Thanks to Nick Sokoloff Photography we have beautiful images to share with you. Our next blog post will include video footage by Remember When Films of this memorable event.

Tip Tuesday | Sundance Winter Wedding | Soirèe Productions
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

One of Soirée Productions favorite winter weddings was an intimate affair at Sundance. With just 60 people the wedding ceremony was held in the Wasatch Room lit only by candlelight. A cocktail reception and dinner followed in the Screening Room. This wedding had many beautiful and personal touches. A signature Apple Martini cocktail greeted guests at they arrived for the reception. Soirée found beautiful specialty linens and matching chair pads that worked perfectly with the silver chivari chairs. Shining silver charges glistened in the room topped with a personalized menu and brownie favors decorated as a bride and groom. The inspiration was bare winter branches with orchids and we carried that theme from the centerpieces to the cake to the dance floor. A custom gobo of bare branches illuminated the floor as guests dance into the night. This was another wonderful event Soirée Productions was very proud to have been involved in.

Tip Tuesday | Winter Wedding Ceremony | Silver Lake Lodge
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Winter is an incredible time in Park City, Utah and the Deer Valley areas. Such an appropriate place to have a wedding ceremony if you are an avid skier. Our client planned a beautiful wedding in the mountains and the theme the entire weekend was skiing and snowboarding. She a skier and he a snowboarder made Park City and Deer Valley the appropriate place. Guests traveled from all over the United States to attend the wedding, some spending up to one week in the area. The ceremony took place with great views of the beautiful mountains of Deer Valley in the Bald Mountain room of Silver Lake Lodge. We set up for 250 guests. The chuppah was rustic and made of aspen tree branches and beautiful white floral. Val of StellaPosy and Soiree teamed up to bring the outdoor in. With great lighting, lots of candlelight, and white floral the fresh snow capped mountains glistened outside. Did I mention the bride and groom arrived to their wedding ceremony via horse and sleigh? So appropriate for the venue. The only other option was to ski in…I’m sure if we had suggested it, they both would have considered it. Thanks Sarah and Michael for making us a part of this wonderful day.

Tip Tuesday: Outdoor Wedding Splendor
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009![]()
Utah’s Resorts are top tier for skiing but what about weddings? Utah’s resorts also have great outdoor space for weddings. Outdoor ceremonies are a popular choice in the summer and fall months. Your décor can be minimal or elaborate, colorful or monotone. Check the weather leading up to your wedding and make sure you have a back up plan in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Most venues will automatically book a back up indoor space for your wedding but be sure and ask when you are scouting venues. You don’t want to be stuck having to rent a tent at the last minute. Some couples, even provide pashminas for their guests in case of cold weather or parasols for a hot and sunny day. Regardless of your venue, be sure to run through a checklist of questions to ask and select the one that is right for you. Soiree Productions is happy to provide you with our complimentary templates that include a venue checklist. Give us a call at (435) 655-2943 and request your copy or stop by our studio to view wonderful portfolios for each of these wonderful venues. Make it a great day and worry free!
